The “DB Update” tab explained

What is a database and why use one? #

By default, mGalaxy lists files by the way they are named, but this information alone is often not enough:

• the filename itself may be abbreviated or incomplete and therefore not represent the real name of the game.
• you would like to have additional information, such as a synopsis, the genre of the game, the number of players allowed, the release date.

All this information can be collected automatically by mGalaxy_Runway when creating a database. Note also that in this process, image and video files can also be collected!
