It would be nice to be able to choose a different emulator for certain games, maybe through DB edit.
An example:
Mickey Speedway USA doesn't run in PJ64 2.2 but works fine in PJ54 1.6 however all other games seem to work better in PJ64 2.2
Emulator selection by game
I would like this feature too. Merging the Feature Request I just made here:
For most of my emulation I prefer the simplicity of Retroarch and its many cores but fine tweaking those cores isn't always possible as it is with the more feature rich emulators those cores are based on.
For instance Retroarch's mednafensaturn_libretro.dll core doesn't have advanced options for handling interlaced graphics (Virtua Fighter 2, DOA and other Sega fighting games). However native Mednafen can do combinations of Bob&Weave to hide the interlacing effect and make the graphics look normal albeit slightly blurry. Both have strengths and weaknesses and I like the ability to use both emulators but for specific games.
Rocketlauncher has this feature called 'emulator exceptions' and I think mgalaxy could benefit by adding a similar feature in the runway app for each system. Thanks so much for reading my suggestion and making such a beautiful front end. The effort is stunning! =D

Hello, I have an "off topic" question just by curiosity, If the native Meddnafen have more usefull tools why don't use only it ?
What is for you the strengh of retroarch compared to it, knowing that the system configuration is only done one time

That's been asked several time and I've already been working on it
...but the problem is this one:
In mGalaxy_Runway, one chooses a system emulator then gives the path to the executable...one executable!
With the possibility to 'override' the default emu selection with an alternate (or 2, 3,) emulator rises this question: how and where to fill the paths to all available executable (think of the SNES, with about 15 options)
Of course I could limit this to only one 'extra choice'. One would have the 'main' emulator and the 'alternate' emulator...but I'm pretty sure that users would quickly want to extend it to a third, maybe fourth one
So..I'm now questioning on how to find the space for it in mGalaxy_Runway...or more exactly: wouldn't it impose to manage the emulators in another way, another approach!?
I'm open to any suggestions/ideas
