Hello great community of mGalaxy.  mGalaxy is quickly becoming one of the largest consumers of the 4-play adapter.  After the first month of having the honer to be listed as mGalaxy partner site, this group has surpassed HyperSpyin (Now second to MG).

To help give the best experience and support we can, I'd like to make this the official Bliss-Box thread for any and all discussions or questions regarding our products or adapters in general. I encourage everyone to help but in this thread I'll do my best to respond to all Bliss-Box related questions, so you can hear it straight from the horse's mouth.

Bliss-Box is dedicated to providing you with a fun, seamless, cost-effective solution to using the best controllers with your games. The Bliss-Box 4-play is a universal console-to-USB controller adapter system that empowers you to game with virtually any controller ever made. One 4-play lets you play with up to three other people on a single adapter, each person using a controller of their choice. Controllers are hot-swappable while the emulator is running and can cycle certain aspects of button configuration on the fly. They connect to the 4-play via short, console-to-HDMI cables.  The box does the work and outputs to your PC via USB. Firmware updates are painless and we have official and unofficial support for Bliss-Box developments.

If you have experience (good or bad) with the 4-play share it here and let everyone know how it works for you. It is very important not only to us but for 4-play support that you share bad experiences as well as good.

Thank you once again for your support and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of Bliss-Box as we do out of making it great.

Hi this is a choice of the OS. The HID (human interface device) Is a windows native driver. HID is also recognized on macs and Linux systems. So the OS driver layer uses what it so desires.  On Linux it's SDL and easily mapped to xinput .  On a mac it is also SDL but not easily ported to xinput AFAIK.  On ps3 it is mapped to a common HID and supported natively. On the xbox original its a hack-ish xinput/HID like thing.  On androids it is, I believe like Linux as most small devices are. On most all windows systems it's directX but with x360ce you can convert to xinput.

The product was designed to use HID so that it can be ported to anything. One day soon windows 10 will read HID game pads as xinput I'm sure but for now, being xinput is far more limited then DirectX, they are sticking with DX. I would not be surprised if there were xinput HID wrappers out there now.

Just wanted to update the post here as I don't receive many question form mgalaxy. Though there is some really exciting news a brewing. 2.0 is making the leap to an easy API system. The HS front end community is quite involved in this already. We now can send data to the Bliss-Box via its normal HID state on 2.0. That is to say write to the dream cast VMU or rumble a controller from a command prompt.  This opens up lots of neat features like saved features, button configs, modes, and so much more. Check out the video blogs from the source!
