So I've tried using mgalaxy on two computers using xp now and none of them were able to boot the program.
Everytime I get this standard error message saying that the program detected an error and must be closed.......
I have tried downloading Media Player 10 but with no luck as well.  (Which I read in the "mgalaxy under windows xp" topic-

What should I do from here on? No sign of it working eventhough it should be xp-compatible.........................................

Try here for WMP10 > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=20426

From my memory, yes it's still xp compatible.

I see, well thanks for the reply.  ;) However, when using that download link and later entering the set-up file, I get a message telling me that it's not compatible with the version of Windows that I am using. Should I try out an older one then? (WMP XP, right?)

The minimum operating system version needed to run mGalaxy is Windows XP Service Pack 2

oh sorry for not specifying my OS but I am using Windows XP service pack 3 so unfortunately that's not it.
I also don't understand how downloading WPM would help launching mgalaxy, but I appreciate any suggestion.
Is there anything else that could be wrong?
As mentioned before, it is the standard "do not run" error I'm getting so it's so hard to figure out where the problem lies.

Sorry, I've tried to reproduce your problem by installing on a fresh Windows XP SP3...but I get no error message while doing it!
Could you please send me a screen capture of the error message?

Meanwhile, I suggest you to install mGalaxy on any other PC.
mGalaxy itself is portable, so you'll be able to copy the whole folder on your Windows XP PC afterwards.
You'll just have to check that some files (that should have been checked by the installer) are already installed:
- Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... x?id=17718)
- DirectX 9.0c (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=34429)
- Windows Media Player 10 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=20426)

Hope that it'll help!! Please come back here as many times as necessary to get support!
