Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it is a false positive. Avast security indicates that the mGalaxy installer is infected with win32:Gen [Susp]

Some research indicates that this trojan installs some files in your windows directory and makes some some registry tweaks to allow it to download other apps and further compromise your system.

My guess is that this is a false positive due to mGalaxy being able to download and install directx and .net framework components if needed. Thoughts? I am looking for some assurance so I can proceed with teh download I guess  :'(

Check by yourself with an online (multi) antivirus scanner like:
https://www.virustotal.com/
http://virusscan.jotti.org/en
http://www.virscan.org/

I did the test on all those engines and the result is negative:

Thanks for the reply. I also checked using Trend Micro's housecall service, and all is clear. It's just Avast that is giving a false positive
