How about an option to choose the joystick you want to use?

Heck, none of my 5 joysticks plugged in will work, I have a gamepad pro USB, Two Dual Shock controllers, a Dead or Alive 4 joystick, a Nyko Airflo joystick, I'd like to be able to pick one of them to use to manipulate the menu...

In that topic, you mentioned considering a request to modify the keys, I'm simply requesting modifying to buttons, on one hand you don't want to be tied down to keyboard, but yet you seem to tie joystick users to keyboard encoding?

Yes that's true...mGalaxy (in this very first version) is clearly dedicated to arcade cabinet owners (so, people using keyboard encoder) OR people using their keyboard, provided they use the specific keyboard mapping.
Now, wanting to use it with external Joystick is one thing...and wanting to define your own keyboard mapping is another.
What would you prefer first? Choose...and, as I told you, it will be submitted to others.
Thanks
PS: I must add that you could use a program called "Joy To Key" (
http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/Jo ... ersion.htm)...which basicaly converts joystick input into...keyboard input
Wouldn't it be a good alternative for now?

Not if you wanted to use that joystick in the games, then you'd have to remap to keys in MAME as well...
I'd imagine remapping keys would be more popular, but I'd prefer being able to remap either, MAME uses DirectX to map either a keyboard or joystick to the controls, I'd imagine your front end should be able to do the same...?
