Re: Is it possible to remove the "update now" nag screen?
So... I'm back with 6.3 which works and is fast but I don't like the nag screen as I just want to boot into my front end without being told that there's an update Maybe try to edit the mGalaxy/Data/Settings.xml file and change the <Settings version="6.3"> to a later version like "<Settings version ...

[quote="mgalaxy"] [quote="uptown47"] The folder just unzipped to my desktop and I ran it from there. I didn't put it into the Program Files folder. Re: Is it possible to remove the "update now" nag screen?
[quote="mgalaxy"] 1. Did you install the new version over the old one? 2. If yes, I remind you that mGalaxy is now portable and CAN'T be installed inside the 'Program Files' folder 3. Could you try to install the new version in a temporary folder (out of the 'Program File' folder)...and report if it ...

Is it possible to remove the "update now" nag screen?
Hi all, I use mGalaxy with a fruit machine I built that uses MFME (Multi Fruit Machine Emulator). A long time ago the developer of mGalaxy kindly made a 'theme' for us MFME users. This has worked brilliantly until my machine asked me to update to the latest version. Which I did. This then just ...

Ok, that's handy to know. Thanksmgalaxy wrote:For your info, the optimal size (@ 1920x1080) is 652x952pixels (you can calculate the ratio from those sizes)....I can edit my screenshots down to just the top glass of the fruit machine and it will fit perfectly.

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
I've just tried this and it is AWESOME!! Really really good. I wondered how the final thing would look but you've done an amazing job!! I really like the fruit machine graphic you've used and it means I can edit my screenshots down to just the top glass of the fruit machine and it will fit perfectly ...

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
I think it looks superb. I think I prefer the buttons lit up as you have them. My only tiny niggle would be to have it say "Insert note" or "Insert coin" instead of "bill" but that's just because I'm based in the UK. I think the rest of the design looks brilliant. Great work! :-)

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
Great to hear it's on the way!
That's brilliant news! Thank you.
Not sure about Reg but 16/9 vertical would suit me perfectly. Cheers.

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
Hi mGalaxy,
Did you manage to get anywhere with a dedicated "fruit machine" front end?
I know you were working on one but wondered if it was still coming along?
Cheers
John :-)

Re: How to start with a database?
That was *exactly* what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
(I can't believe I didn't suss about changing the server to none!)
I've got the database sorted now. Just need to edit the xml but I've already tried it and it's working a treat.
Thanks

Re: How to start with a database?
Hi JMD This just isn't working for me. I'm using MFME (Multiple *Fruit* Machine Emulator) which isn't natively supported by mGalaxy. So none of the "auto" update-type features work for me. If you don't mind could you paste your xmlout.xml file in here so I can copy it and edit it for my system ...

How to start with a database?
Hi all, I'm using MFME (not MAME) with mGalaxy. My list of Fruit Machines is named by the filenames and I would like to rename them. I have mGalaxy premium but there is nothing in my database tab at the moment. Where can I get a 'basic' database to then start editing? I've tried the 'auto' feature ...

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
Hi mgalaxy That sounds brilliant! You're right that there is just 'images' to be displayed. And to over lay them on to the screen of the machine would be brilliant. How much work is involved in changing the fruit machine image? Is it feasible/possible for me to potentially change your fruit machine ...

Re: Is it possible to change the blue background to something else?
Hi mgalaxy Thanks for the reply. A fruit machine theme would be awesome! I've bought a license for mgalaxy so I'm currently looking through the themes available and none of them are particularly "fruit machine" orientated. I know what I would like personally but I don't know how much work it would ...
